DAY 1 ADELAIDE - ALICE SPRINGS
Depart Adelaide at 9.00 am, over Spencer Gulf, Port Augusta, abeam Woomera to Coober Pedy for fuel. Fly over the moonscape of the opal-fields. Cross the mighty rivers of Central Australian legends – the Finke and Palmer. See the MacDonnell Ranges as we land in Alice Springs. An hour to view the Todd Mall in Alice. Overnight Alice Springs.
DAY 2 ALICE SPRINGS - KAKADU
An early start for the airport. Fly over the rugged ranges of the Centre, to land at an aboriginal community, centre of the famous Dot Paintings. An opportunity to purchase a painting as a memento. Fly near Central Mt Stuart landing at Tennant Creek for fuel. We are soon over Kakadu with the beautiful Arnhemland escarpment beside the aircraft. Land at Cooinda to enjoy the great lodge accommodation and tropical surrounds.

DAY 3 KAKADU - KUNUNURRA
A spectacular early morning cruise amongst the pandanus and ti-tree flood plains of the South Alligator. Large crocodiles and many species of birds make this a world-renowned cruise. A later breakfast then fly to Jabiru for a tour through the Wetlands of Kakadu to Obiri. This is a brilliant Aboriginal art gallery on the rock faces. Depart Jabiru over the Victoria River Valley, the edge of the Timor Sea and the mighty estuaries of the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf. A township tour of Kununurra, overnight Kununurra.

DAY 4 KUNUNURRA - LAKE ARGYLE
Drive out to Mirimar National Park for a short nature walk. Through the mountains that circle Lake Argyle for some outstanding views. See the vast expanse of the mighty Ord River and Lake Argyle Dam. It is a huge undertaking and is a most impressive and picturesque sight. Picnic lunch in a shady spot, high above the roaring Ord River, where cheeky bower birds and butcher birds enjoy our visit. See the historic Lake Argyle Homestead, with its gardens, bird-life and native fauna. On returning to Kununurra, a two hour boat trip along the amazing Ord River. Overnight, Kununurra.

DAY 5 KUNUNURRA - BUNGLE BUNGLES - GEIKIE GORGE
Fly around the Bungle Bungles with the beauty of early morning light. It is an impressive sight. Land on the edge of the Bungle Bungle and you have the option of a helicopter flight back along the gorges. Depart the Bungles flying over the inaccessible gorges of the King Leopolds before landing for a cruise on the Fitzroy River at Geikie Gorge. A tour of Fitzroy Crossing before a short flight to Derby.

DAY 6 DERBY - THOUSAND ISLANDS - WINDJANA - BROOME
Early departure flying across King Sound, the mouth of the mighty Fitzroy River. Fly over the “Thousand Islands” Archipelago. This is Australia ’s most outstanding coastal feature. Rocky pinnacles, submerged mountains, pearl farms, barramundi boats, Yampi Sound, Cockatoo Island and the amazing Horizontal Waterfall (if the tide is right). Land at a remote airstrip in the Kimberley. Transfer to the mouth of Windjana Gorge, for a walk down into the gorge itself, with its interesting environment. Fly across the Napier Range to Broome mid-afternoon for a relaxing time before dinner at our Broome motel.

DAY 7 BROOME - PARABURDOO
This is one of the prettiest, most tropical of all towns in the north. It really is a special town and a captivating one. We spend a relaxed morning visiting the many interesting features of Broome, including the deepwater port, Gantheaume Point, Cable Beach and Chinatown. Fly out of Broome along the Ninety Mile Beach, then cross country to Paraburdoo. This is the land of huge iron ore mines. Transfer north to the small township of Tom Price. Overnight motel.
DAY 8 TOM PRICE - PILBARAS - KARIJINI GORGE
Leave early on a drive out into the spectacularly coloured Pilbaras. They are a deep blue in the distance with bright red rocks in the foreground. Enter the Karijini National park. Oxer Lookout is perhaps the most spectacular gorge view in Australia . Dropping down 100 metres and 100 metres across, there are three huge gorges converging at this one point. Travel on to Knox’s Gorge and other very impressive gorges and views in between. Return to Tom Price motel for overnight.

DAY 9 TOM PRICE - KALGOORLIE
Fly over the huge mines exporting millions of tonnes of iron ore and see the giant iron ore trains that extend for kilometres. Land at Meekatharra for a quick walk around town and lunch at the Hotel. Fly over the vast flat goldfields country before landing at Kalgoorlie. Time on your own to walk the historic township of Kalgoorlie.
DAY 10 KALGOORLIE - HEAD OF THE BIGHT - ADELAIDE
Across the huge expanse of the Nullarbor, passing over Rawlinna and Loongana, to refuel at Forrest. Over the giant cliffs of the Nullarbor to Head of the Bight, where in seasonal times we may see whales. Land Ceduna to refuel before crossing Eyre Peninsula for Adelaide, landing by 5 p.m.
