CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL
THE FOLLOWING POINTS ARE IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO READ AND CONSIDER. These points and the Conditions of Travel will become accepted conditions by you when you book a tour and travel with us.
Further information for your comfort and help will be sent to you on booking the tour.
BOARDING AND DE-PLANING Please arrive 20 minutes prior to departure. Please do not walk around undirected on tarmac areas - at any airport.
CLOTHING AND GEAR TO BE TAKEN - WEIGHT LIMITS You need only toilet needs. Slacks for men; slacks or light dresses for women in soft overnight bag. We cannot load suitcases, rucksacks, etc. The weight is a maximum of 3.5 kg for 3 day flights (5 kg for 11 day tours). These are absolute maxima as the aircraft has to load maximum fuel. Please weigh your luggage at home as it will be weighed again when you check in at the Airport. NOTE: EXCESS CANNOT BE CARRIED.
PERSONAL WEIGHT For safety procedures, we need your ACCURATE personal weight, dressed to travel. There are conditions if you are over 112 kg. Please discuss with us.
INSURANCE You are covered under the relevant Commonwealth Legislation regarding Air Travel and Insurance. However, there is no insurance or responsibility on the part of Desert-Air Safaris Pty. Ltd. to cover sickness, accident outside of aircraft, or for any loss or damage to personal goods. You should take out personal travel insurance with your own insurance company. This could also guard against any fare cancellation due to illness.
WEATHER There are occasions when bad weather causes us to change the itinerary. We have not built this extra cost into your fare. With any such delay, you would be expected to pay for the extra meals and accommodation.
SMOKING There is NO SMOKING inside the aircraft or on the tarmac. We do have a stringent smoking policy for the convenience of non-smoking passengers.
DEPOSITS A deposit of 20% is required to secure any booking. Balance of fare is due at least 28 days before departure. If booking less than 28 days before departure, could you please send the full amount when confirming your booking.
CANCELLATIONS If you cancel between four and three weeks of travel, you’ll be charged 10% of fare; between three and two weeks, 20%; less than two weeks, 50%; less than one week, no refund of fare. If leaving a tour for any reason, no refund can be given.
YOUR AIRCRAFT In almost all cases, Desert-Air will use its own twin-engined aircraft. However, any replacement aircraft may be twin-engined or single-engined.
WE ARE NOT A COMMON CARRIER and we do reserve the right to refuse or terminate a booking.
COSTS DO NOT INCLUDE: Alcoholic drinks, gratuities, laundry, telephone calls, other items of a personal nature, inc. visa, departure taxes, hire of diving equipment, admission fees, unless stated as included, accommodation, meals and incidental expenses resulting from flooding, natural delays, unavailable connections or other unforeseen circumstances.
1. FARES: IMPORTANT NOTE Fares stated are subject to variation at any time before travel. Should it be necessary to
change a fare price after your booking, we will give you timely notice of this change. You may then wish to discontinue
your booking and your money will be refunded in full, or, if you do wish to continue to travel, it will be necessary to pay
any increase.
2. ITINERARY: IMPORTANT NOTE IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO NOTE that the itinerary and its content is subject to change
because of weather, storms, delays of any type or other factors.
Because you are in an aircraft, there may be occasions when you are unable to see the features because of cloud
cover.
3. PASSENGERS Our passengers are all nice happy people. However, if you are a whinger, loudmouth, know-all or done-
it-all-before, please contact us and we will recommend several other very good companies for your holiday.
We try our hardest, but if you are the complaining type, please leave us alone with 99.9% of the people, whom we enjoy
travelling with.
